Industry Awards

At the conclusion of every year, the Williamson County Association of REALTORS® holds an Installation and Awards Banquet.  At this banquet, the new members of The WCREALTORS Board of Directors are installed and the Industry Awards are presented.

Annual awards are given for: REALTOR® of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Affiliate of the Year.

REALTOR® of the Year

The REALTOR® of the Year Award recognizes and rewards a primary REALTOR® member of The WC for the time and energy expended on behalf of fellow REALTORS®.

Additionally, this award is given:

  • To encourage that member’s further evolvement in professionalism and WCREALTORS service,
  • To encourage other members to contribute time and energy so as to qualify for this award,
  • To raise the profile of recipients as future leaders in the organization and the community.

Any REALTOR® who has been a Primary member of WCREALTORS for five or more consecutive years is eligible.  

Rookie of the Year

The ROOKIE of the Year Award recognizes and rewards a primary REALTOR® member of The WC for the effort and work expended on behalf of fellow REALTORS.  This award is given:

  • To encourage that member’s further involvement in professionalism and The WC service,
  • To encourage other members to contribute time and energy so as to qualify for this award,
  • To raise the profile of recipients as future leaders in the organization and the community.

The nominee must have started his/her REALTOR career as a primary member of The WC during the previous calendar year.  Transferees or REALTORS who have previously been members of other REALTOR associations are not qualified.

Affiliate of the Year - Individual

The Affiliate Member of the Year Award is to recognize and reward an individual. Affiliate member for his/her work and contributions made to the Williamson County Association of REALTORS® which have been beneficial to the Association as a whole and the membership in general during the calendar year. In addition to the ASSOCIATION AWARDS COMMITTEE GUIDELINES, the following are the guidelines and nominee qualifications for the Affiliate Member of the Year Award:

  • The nominee must have been an Affiliate member of the Association for at least 12 consecutive months prior to being nominated for this award.
  • The nominee must be a current Affiliate member of the Association at the time he or she is being considered for the award.
  • The following four criteria are considered in determining the recipient of the award:
    • Association committee memberships.
    • Volunteer contributions made to the Association
    • Length of service in chosen profession.
    • Positions held in nominee’s own trade organization.
Affiliate of the Year - Company

The Affiliate Company of the Year Award is given to a Company Affiliate member for its work and contributions made to the Williamson County Association of  REALTORS® which have been beneficial to the Association as a whole and the membership in general during the calendar year. In addition to the association awards committee guidelines, the following are the guidelines and nominee qualifications for the Affiliate Company of the Year Award:

  • Nominee Company must have been an Affiliate member of the Association for at least 12 months prior to being nominated for this award.
  • Nominee Company must be a current Affiliate member of the Association at the time the Company is being considered for the award.
  • The following criteria are to be considered in determining the recipient of the award:
    • Level of company participation on Association committees.
    • Level of company participation in Association events
    • Financial contributions made to the Association.
    • Current Mansion member.
Distinguished Service

The Distinguished Service Award is a lifetime achievement award which recognizes a Primary REALTOR member of  The WC for the effort and work expended on behalf of this Association, fellow REALTORS, and the real estate industry.  This award is made only when the Awards Committee determines there is an outstanding, qualified individual.  The following guidelines apply.  REALTOR nominees must have:

  • Been a Primary member of The WC for five or more consecutive years and a REALTOR for a minimum of ten (10) years.  Prior recipients are not eligible.
  • Served at least three (3) years as a Director of this Association.
  • Actively served on at least five (5) committees at The WC, special project groups, or task groups.
  • Served as chairman of at least three (3) committees at The WC, special project groups, or task groups.
  • Earned at least two (2) professional REALTOR designations such as ABR, GRI, CRS, CRB,  etc. as sanctioned by the National Association of REALTORS.  
  • Attended and is actively involved in regional, state, or national REALTOR organizations.
  • Exhibited leadership in the community and/or civic activities.
  • Made TREPAC investments of at least ‘TREPAC award level’ for a minimum of five years.
  • Exhibited evidence of cooperative spirit toward fellow REALTORS as well as professional conduct.
  • Continued to maintain professional competence by attending and/or teaching worthwhile professional-level educational courses.
